Augustana is excited to announce that the university will offer men’s and women’s club hockey beginning in Fall 2024. The university will also make the club sport of figure skating even more competitive, including the addition of a coach. Augustana understands the value and impact that historically marginalized people have on communities all over the world — recognizing that this university would not be the place it is without these students, faculty and staff. For Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month — which is celebrated from Sept. 15, through Oct. 15 — Augustana is featuring Dra. (Doctora, or Doctor in Spanish) Pilar Cabrera Fonte, associate professor of Spanish.

��ݮ��Ƶ has added a gender, sexuality & women’s studies (GSWS) minor as of Aug. 30. The minor is another offering within the university’s list of interdisciplinary academic programs developed as part of Augustana’s strategic plan .

��ݮ��Ƶ is elated to announce it has received a historic $13.8 million gift to help support students who are active and engaged members of Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) congregations throughout the Midwest. This spring, the university established the Augustana Honorary Alumni Society, inducting 23 individuals into its inaugural class during Viking Days. The honorary alumni society was established to recognize individuals who have shown extraordinary dedication to Augustana’s mission, along with its core values of Christian, liberal arts, excellence, community and service. Through sustained commitment to the university, honorary alumni have demonstrated the gold standard of engagement.
