The Forward Sioux Falls Campaign is generously supporting ��ݮ��Ƶ’s Harriet Emily Scott Social Work Program — awarding the program $50,000 annually over the next five years. The Forward Sioux Falls Campaign is providing compensation for qualifying Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) students who are completing internships in health care-related fields.

Six ��ݮ��Ƶ students have been awarded Fred C. and J. Marie Christopherson Scholarships for the 2026-26 academic year. The recipients of the Fred C. and J. Marie Christopherson Scholarship are recognized as students who are committed to the university, respected by their peers, have a strong work ethic and a solid character.

��ݮ��Ƶ announced students who have been named to the Dean's List for the spring semester of the 2025-26 academic year. This spring, the Dean's List recognizes 898 full-time students hailing from 23 states and 29 countries.

The ��ݮ��Ƶ Eide/Dalrymple Gallery presents “Chad Nelson: Fires in the Dark,” a Master of Art Education thesis exhibition — on view through Thursday, June 18. Free and open to the public, a reception for “Fires in the Dark” will take place in the Center for Visual Arts on Friday, June 5, from 6-8 p.m.

When Abel Alene ‘26 first arrived in South Dakota, he knew almost nothing about Sioux Falls or ��ݮ��Ƶ. And Alene didn’t imagine he’d one day stand at the podium as his class’ commencement speaker.

On Saturday, his commencement speech to the Class of 2026 will address the importance of embracing uncertainty.
